Hachiko Statue in Front of Akita Dog Museum

Despite our mad hunt for an ATM that would work with our cards, we did find time to visit the Akita Dog Museum in Ōdate. That's the museum's sign in the background. This, of course, is yet another statue of Hachiko.

On our second trip to Ōdate, Mr. Ishida told us more about this statue. Apparently it was erected just two years ago, but the stone pedestal it sits on is the original pre-WWII pedestal from Shibuya's Hachiko statue.
