No, "Fuke no Yu" is not an expletive - it's the name of a hot spring up the road from Hachimantai Lake Inn. We stopped briefly at an overlook on our way to the summit. There is a ryokan and onsen (hot spring bath) down there, but we did not have time to go down and visit them.
