View of the south side of Senshu Park. Senshu Park is located near the downtown area of Akita City. According to one of the signs, Senshu Park is the former site of Kubota Castle, home of Lord Satake, the first feudal load [sic] of the province. His descendants granted the land to Akita City to be maintained as a public park. We only were able to take a quick walk around before leaving for Ōdate; we spent more time here on our return to Akita City at the end of our trip.
