Matthew got peckish before our boat tour of Tazawako, so he bought a snack outside the tourism center. Misotampo is a cousin of kiritampo, an Akita specialty food made of cooked, mashed rice formed around a stick and grilled. Misotampo is brushed with thinned miso before grilling, hence its name.
Misotampo: Don't call it a corn dog!
